WE DID IT!
Around 1 pm earlier today we crossed the finishline in one piece. So now were watching arabic-subbed french tv at a lousy hotel in Bamako waiting for the afterparty to begin. But compared to what we've been trough the last 16 days this truly feels like heaven. We are not sure at our placement yet, all i can tell you is that we did not win ;-)
Even tough the journey was long and hard it has been totally amazing, The roads have been wicked crazy at times, especially the atar-tidjika stage, i for one really thought that would be the end for our car after our bashplate got destroyed, the cooling system started to give in and the saharan night closed in on us. We've seen surrealistic views everyday and cultures we never tought we would come this close. About the time we got tired of sand we left the sahara to enter the savanna wich is just as stunning. It's hard to describe Mali in words and even if i could it would take up alot of space so i leave you with two words as a hint: Hot and beautiful. After the afterparty our last mission begins, getting back to Sweden. Were almost out of money but are planning on selling the car and buy us some flighttickets. But again, mañana mañana. We made it to Bamako.

We have arrived in Budapest, not entirely flawless, some detours and problems with the austrian authorities. Left the car at the startline and are now relaxing at a hostel. About 12 hours to go, were going out to grab something to eat and then go to bed early. Would like to write more and make some updates but were simply to tired. Some new pictures up in the gallery. Enjoy.

Still waiting for our CB-antenna which is said to be at the postal office in Gothenburg. If everything goes as planned were leaving sweden today aprox 18:00.
Have'nt had the time to work on the HP sorry, we do however have some new pictures up. Also spoken to some local newspaper about the trip, for swedish viewers, see what we said to Borås tidning and Annonsmarknan in a near future. Other than that, what can i say, the sandmobile is ready, hopefully we hav'nt missed anything but it's impossible to prepare for everything. Thank you everyone where thank you is due. And to all disbelievers: atleast were trying ;-). I'll try to keep you all up to date as were moving towards Africa so keep looking back here if you're intrested in our progress. So, see you all later!

Have'nt updated the site for a while due to christmases, new year eves hard work and a slow phaced move to another apartment. Unfortunatly we don't have much new material to come up with to the site itself but we have been making huge progress since last update, when i left the party about an hour ago (i've catched a bad cold and it's freezing outside so i threwed in the towel for a warm sofa and hot coffee) we were installing a custom made bash plate, made some minor repairs to the undercarriage and probably our überlights from NBB will be mounted today aswell. Credits to Mr.Brolin who agreed to lend us his garage space and expertice! Will be giving the page a proper update within 2-3 days with full coverage on the sponsors and equipment pages. Until then i retrospectively wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year! ;-)

Back from "vacation" now, the paintjob is almost done along with the bodywork thats almost completely done, well give some time for the paint to dry and in a couple of days it's time for the second paintjob and placing decals and later on interials. Aside from that i want to point out that we are accepting gifts that can be handed out for charity, were talking clothes, toys, medicine (like painkillers) watches, books in french etc etc, we all have a bunch of stuff just laying around without being used, heres a chance to get rid of it. Contact me (Niklas) or Martin if you have something to contribute with. Thanks in advance

Been working on the car all weekend and we'll problaty keep working on it until it's ready from now on. About 45 days left until start and time aint waiting for us. We have come along way tough, the bodywork are beginning to look great, new pictures up. On behalf of Dustyfox i would like to thank NBB, Skoogen, Wynn & T.P Transport for the support so far, make sure to pay them all a visit!

After this weekends teammeeting and little photosession i decided it's time to open this page for the puplic, it is however far from finished but we have a non integrated photogallery up and running, saves me alot of time not creating my own and time is just what we don't have plenty of. Also i'm missing some info in the team section due to lazy team members. I still have some coding problems when browsing the site with firefox, have'nt tried IE. Most of the time the page loads but occasionaly i get a strange message saying the code is messed up, if it happends just press the reloadbutton and the page should show. If anyone knows whats causing this give me a nudge. Now just give me some time and i'll finish up the rest.

Regards

/Niklas
